Over the first weekend of September while stuck on a boat with some of the best (read: most interesting) company I've had in a long while I was reminded over and over again to DO what you love so that you can LOVE what you do.
Get this: there was the PE guy, the creative couple, the brain behind some of our favourite watering holes on our tiny island, the journalist who we all read on a regular basis, the bankers, the family business guy, the power-packed duo that grew an internet start up into a freaking phenomenon (and recently scored a major round of seed funding), the urban planner who is putting Punggol together bit by bit, and wee old me.
All that passion, talent and and purpose squashed into the square footage of a 40 ft yacht - it was enough to give anyone who didn't absolutely love and adore their jobs a bit of a kick in the head. What I loved most was the fact that for some of them their dream job didn't exist - so they did something that seems so logical yet so few choose to do it - they went out and created it.
If you're wondering where I'm going with this I honestly can't tell you because I haven't quite figured it out either. But when I do I'll clue you in. In the meantime, I'll be spending my spare time working on a little side project :) So wish me luck that it all goes well and do stay tuned for more!
